Stop Stopping Your Flow of Goodness in your life!   One of the greatest things that any one can experience is the feeling of encouragement. However, as we all know life many times deals us situations that are not what we would call encouraging.   James 1:2-4 KJV  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.   I know we have heard this verse from many aspects but what the Apostle Paul was teaching here is a Christ-like Mind set. He is not saying that the situation is good, but he is challenging us to be patient and look at it from a future prospective.   Disappointment is Dangerous If we look at were we are at this present moment it would be very easy to get upset and disappointed. However, when we come to the understanding that our thoughts and our emotions are shaping our future we are more likely to reevaluate the situation and try to see it God’s way; counting it joy!   Joy Notice that Paul didn’t say be happy about the situation. Happiness deals with what is happening, getting an outside stimuli to change our emotions. Paul says that we are to count it all Joy! Joy is a very strong emotion that emulates from within and has nothing to do directly with what is happening outside!   Attracting What You Feel Not only are we attracting what we think about we are attracting what we are feeling. If we allow disappointment to dominate our lives we will find more things to be disappointed about showing up. What we think about with strong feelings is what is expanding in our life.   Ambiguous Feelings   This is why many people are not seeing the things they are praying about show up in their lives. Their subconscious feelings are not in agreement with their prayers. There emotional connection with the situation disallows God’s Universal law of attraction to bring what they are praying for to manifestation. So instead of an answer they get more things to feel disappointed about.   Spiritual Harmony   Many people pray today and then two days later change their focus from expecting God to answer back to looking at what they don’t have. We are attracting what we are focused on. If we are paying attention to our prayer not being answered and what is missing, then all we are doing is allowing the doubt to cause more things to start missing in our life. If you say, “I Hate Debt, I Hate being overweight, I wish things were different in my life, etc – your focus is on what is. This is where many people are. They are focusing on what is, and that kind of thinking keeps them out of spiritual harmony with what they want.   Poison   Allowing yourself to daily worry and complain about what you don’t like and what is missing in your life is like drinking a little poison every day. It is a little bitter at first, but after awhile you get accustom to the taste. So daily you worry in your mind and complain to others until it becomes habitual. Guess what happens then? More things for you to worry and complain about start showing up!   The key here is to make the conscious decision to believe God that what we ask is already ours in the spirit and is about to manifest into my reality. This is focusing on where and what we desire over what is! Why does it seem as though many people are living in an endless cycle of misery and suffering? Because they have missed the lesson of Proverbs 4:23.   Heart Issues Proverbs 4:23 KJV  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.   The word heart in this verse is referring to the seat of the intellect and emotions. Our life is being issued out of our dominate thoughts and feelings. Is this to say that God is not in the picture? Absolutely NOT! However, I do believe that we are co-creators as it relates to our physical life and situations that we experience.   Remember the heart is the seat of the intellect and emotions. The bible says that God looks on the heart of a man. Why? Not only to see if the person loves Him. Many people love God but are not headed toward God. God looks at the heart to view the direction a person is going.   You’re going where you thoughts are taking you! Only you can stop the goodness of God from flowing in your life
